How we rank deals
"Best match" results use the same published formula for every business. Here are the signals and how much each counts.
The signals
- 30%Match to your searchHow well the title, business and category match the words you typed.
- 18%Real savingsThe discount we can prove. Badges only count when the old price is real.
- 16%FreshnessHow recently the deal was confirmed by its source, the business, shoppers or our team.
- 14%DistanceHow close the branch is, when you share your location.
- 8%Running nowHappy hours and day-specific offers that are valid at this moment come first.
- 8%You can use itCard and wallet offers that match the cards you added to My Cards.
- 6%Shopper activityRecent views and directions requests, plus hot/cold votes weighted by each voter's track record (see review guidelines).
You can also sort by nearest, biggest saving, ending soon or newest. Those orders use just that one signal.
What never affects ranking
- Money. Businesses can't pay to move up in normal results.
- Commissions. Whether we could earn from a link plays no part (affiliate disclosure).
- Being an AtDealPoint business customer or not.
If we ever show paid placements, they will be labelled Sponsored, shown separately from the ranked results, and never given a "checked" label they didn't earn.
What we hide or pause
Deals that ended, deals nobody confirmed for 7 days, and deals whose outside link is flagged as unsafe are removed from results until they're confirmed again. Deals shoppers reported stay visible with a warning while we recheck them. See how we verify deals.
